What's the best non-Enigma handgun?

Looking for some insight on what are effective sidearms once my primary runs low/dry. Hoping to avoid wasting resources on weapons that just can't quite cut it out there.

I honestly just use the western classic revolver, It's even my main weapon, with my long gun being my off weapon for when it's needed. Granted I play a gunslinger, but still it's just a really good gun imo

Nebula, no arguments. If you stop being a meta-slave, it beats even enigma.

i enjoy the hunting pistol with corrosive shot, just need to find devouring loop and my build is getting awfully close to r1 xD

Been using Star Shot lately with engineer, increased explosive and fire damage. Good ammo efficiency and a great oh-♥♥♥♥ button for elites and bosses. Just keep in mind you might kill yourself if you're too close to the target.

cube gun is probably the best side arm it has unlimited ammo an aoe attack plus a projectile shield.

Meridian Grenade Launcher if you go for a mod build, will 1 shot most enemies and burst down bosses pretty nicely. Get the detonation trigger amulet and it'll start burning everything too.
