Is it bad to play medic as my primary archetype just to spam heals in co-op
My medic build uses:
1. Conservation Seal and Kuri Kuri Charm for a chance to not consume a relic charge with lower health
2. Restriction Cord for constant proc of the two accessories
3. Burden of the Divine to give super regen to the team without the use of Medic skills
3. 70%+ DR to compensate for missing health while staying at 50 weight
4. Challenger for Bulwark stagger resist and DR to melee or Explorer for Plainswalker movement speed to traverse maps faster

I spam the regen Relic (Resonating Heart) with Burden of the Divine's effect healing teammates from any distance so everyone on the team has extremely high HP regen during any encounter. They don't have to use their own Relics to heal when I do this, but I feel like this playstyle may encourage taking more hits instead of dodging, which isn't good for people planning to transition to Nightmare or Apocalypse. Though, I only play Survivor or Veteran difficulty since I've been playing games more casually these days.

Players will always want to dodge because enemy attacks can easily drop you to half health in 1 hit and also combo you dead with stagger quite easily. The healing you provide will allow people some breathing room in the event they take a hit but dont have the time to use a relic or other form of self heal. Basically, you are providing assurance to the team that in the event something bad happens (missing a dodge, stepping in aoe, etc) there is something to help recover.

If i was playing with randoms and had you in my team providing that support. i would not consider it "bad"

If they don't have bulwark and vigor, there are many enemies that can kill them through that healing. So they will keep dodging when needed.

If you manage to make it work, then it certainly seems to be one way to play. Probably just another reason why there are a few one shots and grab kills in the game also. So that people can't just heal tank everything.

I do this too, but slightly differently.

Medic life, is best life.

I think depends the party composition and difficulty.

If your team mates are too squishy and you have to ress rather than heal, you will run out of relics in no time.

I agree with Xankrieg when it comes down to play with randoms, as you can ease their time making a hard encounter not frustrating and fun ( the randoms will obviously try to survive their best, dodging ).

ps: burden of the divine gives 10% DR, while restriction cord gives another 10%. Then you have another ring and amulet that don't give DR, and one last ring ( i don't know which one ). How do you hit 70% DR?

pps: did you manage to unlock revivalist? Mine seems to be bugged no matter how many times I ress.

I got reserve boosting gem, generating band and a ring that give shield for emptying your gun plus summoner regen(not max yet). Also max lifesteal and lifesteal concoction.

There is no amount of healing in the world that can save someone being dumb. Even trash mobs WILL destroy you for being stupid. It only gives you chances to fix your dumb mistakes.

For the 70% DR, I use heavier armor but cap my weight at 50 so my rolls aren't too slow, and I have Fortify and Barkskin maxed as well. I'm not aware of revivalist. Is that another trait?
