I'd further that the ammo system being all separate ammo counts is really bad, too. I was confused by this when playing Survival in Rem 1, too, where picking up a trait book only levels up the player who picked it up. It seems anti-multiplayer, which is perplexing.
It has also led to some amazingly funny scenarios of my friend firing at a boss "My shots aren't hitting it at all." and I'm at 15% health "Well, they hit something."
And the friendly fire in towns can be helpful to try out healing abilities and regen.
However, I am all for the option to turn it on and off, for people who doesn't see the appeal. But it should be a per character decision. As I don't want my friendly fired turned off for me, as I like having to consider, if I'm moving into my allies Firing Line.
And stuff like Explosives should always have friendly fire, no matter what.
The biggest issue is not being able to communicate to randoms about potential friendly fire builds with no form of chat system.
Though as much as i like having to be wary of where i aim when using summons. i do find it kind of annoying that summons can hurt each other and theres nothing the player can do to avoid it.
Like most things in this game its learning and overcoming new things.
Eventually you can get the enlarged heart relic. Heals for twice as much as the starter realic and the use time is halved. although it does half your total relic uses.
Im not talkin about in COmbat or BOsses situations, im talking about IN Base situations.
Fortunately we're all on voice software so we can communicate over when a team mate needs to get out of the NUKE area! Which leads to the problem with the game in itself that the lack of any self contained communication tool beyond emotes does highlight a bit of a problem.
So basically if you are pugging it and you see someone with one of those AOE Nuke like weapons, you need to be wary.
Now beyond that if people are just shooting you in the back, I would just quietly leave!
"it would be too easy"
Yeah but also, Enigma exists, so your point is invalid. And Melee has no friendly fire.
Friendly fire was always a thing in remnant. That will not change. If there were no friendly fire it would jsut result in brainless spam of mods and skill and actions.
I dont mind too dieing in combat situations or at BOss, but if in BAse Friend killed like while i was upgrading at Blacksmith, its not acceptible, by the way there are like 50 meters away shooting range. He can train there like 24/7 in there but no he prefers my location. :((
Sounds like its definitely time for new friends.
