Blood Moon - How?

I've heard there's a way to "Trigger" the Blood Moon in Yaesha. Trying to collect 4 more blood essences but the danged moon isn't appearing. How?

I saw people saying make it a ravager world, not red throne, then when you get to the ravager, kill the doe, not the ravager.

just switch from the far woods to the dappled glade until you see blood moon in the sky. Shouldnt take more than 5 mins

thanks yeah i just jumped around between different regions in yaesha and it popped eventually

I just jumped around between forested areas and the event eventually pops up. You can also travel to other forested areas during the blood moon but I heard traveling back to town cancels it.

One thing is, at least for me, is that trying this in adventure mode was useless. I spent hours and had 5 blood moon events show up but in zero of the maps did I see any wisps at all. I switched to my campaign save and the first blood moon had tons of wisps.

My suggestion is to farm wisps on your campaign save and save the frustration. I spent hours making zero progress in adventure mode and it took me 15-20 mins to collect enough for the summoner book in the campaign mode.

is it easy to notice? cause the sky mostly looks kindy foggy dark at times.


also how do you open the door to the bloodmoon altar, will it be open if theres a bloodmoon ?

I have found they spawn far more frequent if you have the doe/ravager story line going on.

I have heard that if you kill the doe at the end it will shorten the time between them spawning but never tried.

I do know there is a CD between when they can spawn of about 30-45 min so if your really trying to get them to spawn you can mess with the clock on your PC to set your time ahead then go back to zone swapping till one spawns farm it for essence change time again and repeat.

Step 1: Enter yaesha
Step 2: Change the time on your computer to like +2-3 hours from the current time
Step 3: Leave the area to another area (touching the stone is not enough)
Step 4: Profit

just managed to get blood moon after rushing through portals. but the question is how do I get to the altar. I only saw one on another map behind a locked door.

i dont like this mechanic, the bloodmoon should be someting you can trigger by killing a sub boss or somthing

you can even die few time till you get blood moon, or abuse of checkpoint

Most likely there is a dungeon you have to go through that will come back to the zone on the other side of that door. If it is just a big double door, then the only way to open it is get to the other side and turn the latch.
