After 60h of Remnant 2 should i play 1st game ?
i already have basically everything (80% of items aprox.) and i wonder if i shoud just maybe start new character on hardcore and do some stuff with that or if 1st game still hold up good after this one.

- Worse graphics of course, but it's not big deal.
- Much less focus on on puzzles.
- More traits, and more offensive traits. Can max them all eventually, but it takes a long time. Gives you quite long-term progression.
- No real classes, but similar abilities are baked into armor.
- Less abilities that just straight up one-shot you.

Overall I feel that R2 improved on most things but seriously missed the mark on progression and enemy scaling, which means I'm a bit tired of it at 25ish hours, whereas I have hundreds in R1.

First game is 10 times better than this imo so yes you should

1st is basically the same experience generally speaking. The gameplay is practically the same. It's a bit harder solo though and it takes longer to get a really good build going.

Go for it.

have u completed on apocalypse and then doomsday to get the apocalypse/doomsday items? , also remn 1 is pretty good aswell ye but i like the classes in rem 2 more xd

It's mostly the same. Probably easier though because you can farm traits and just be OP. Everyone complaining about the trait point limit wants that easy mode back.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I think playing DLC campaign to get a grasp of the story and fun bosses.

Probably the only reason to get it now is the survival mode which plays like a roguelike.

The first game is good but I find 2 to be better in nearly every aspect, minus the low Trait cap.

Nah, R1 is still fun, and it has different areas and enemies from R2.

Both games are enjoyable IMO, even if R2 looks more modern.

Why not go for 100%?

Remnant 1 has a lot of flaws but it's worth playing through at least once. Find the dog pet asap and play with a buddy for maximum enjoyment.

Remnant 1 is very fun and I do remember it way more fondly than I will Remnant 2

Mostly because maps have actual encounter design which early is quite brutal and you fight a mix of enemies constantly, instead of the "this dungeon has one enemy and 2 different elites" that most of Remnant 2 has.

Also the realms in Remnant 1 are more interesting:
-Earth feels way more varied and a nice starting point
-Yaesha has a better integral story
-Losomn does beat our Corsus, but as I said the enemy variety is way better
-Rhom does the technology of a desolate world worse, but the story is more intriguing and again has way better enemy design, N'erud is such a drag half of the time.

So yeah if you liked Remnant 2, do go experience From the Ashes.

Its mostly the same game. Though it might feel lacking in gear. Having 4 rings is huge. The archetype skills is huge. Sure you can mimic some archetype skill with weapon mods but you just have two of them.

The only truly unique experience is the survival mode.

Ye its the same for the most part except for some systems stuff and class skills weren't a thing. Wouldnt get the dlc unless its on sale though since its funtionally only one more area.

Subject 42069 is pretty much a must have to get an understanding of Clementine and the main lore for the Dreamers in a well explained manner through the game itself.
Also Reisum is awesome.
