Report a translation problem
The mutator needs at level 10, not the weapon.
Cause it gets to a point where adds can melt you if you aren't careful, and bosses kill you in 2 hits on the easiest setting.
your archetypes will push your level up a little by itself.

do note some things have changed slightly however. (like the resource drops no longer using average of all)
base damage also goes up, which is relevant for things that scale using that and affect things that don't, such as life-steal.
conversely, things like shields get worse (since our damage reduction isn't upgrade-able in this game like it was the first).
And this game is no exception. Your effective power level relative to your ennemies will constantly seesaw as you level up your weapons a bit too much vs being a bit behind some boss levels. The rule of thumb is that underleved is better than overleveled. It's amazing.
