Yaesha elite seems invulnerable, please help

Hey so I rerolled Yesha on adventure and got the red throne storyline. I enter a dungeon and loving these new enemies. But something that has really bugged my mind is that an elite is super tanky, it's pretty much impermeable to any kind of damage except elemental (shock) & explosive. I tried to find a weakspot but couldn't test thoroughly since basic mobs just keep spawning endlessly. I don't understand if we are supposed to take it down through elemental/explosive alone or if there is some kind of vulnerability/gimmick that opens it up. That enemy shrugs off all kinds of bullets with like 85% damage mitigation so it takes forever to bring it down like that and it's not reliable in a crowded battle. Have any of you met this elite before and figured it out? I managed to kill it 3 times but it really nags me not knowing a reliable way.
EDIT: The basic mobs were easily taken down in 1 headshot with the gunslinger longun and 2 or 3 shot at the body, so I don't think I was under-upgraded.

does he throw the red orb from chest? when it lands on ground shoot it

Are you talking about the big tree bois who throw a bomb at you?

Shoot the bomb - it's their weak point.

edit: alternatively, use witchfire on them.

Yeah there was another kind of elite throwing bombs, and another elite that was melee focused, both were no big deal. But then I came across this one that does both things and is ridiculously armored, only managed to kill it with shock and explosions, bullets did next to no damage. I noticed some red glow before the bombs but I could not shoot it at time due to dealing with the ads as well. Gonna try better next time.

Ah I see. Maybe that's why shock and explosion damage worked, it got to those orbs too. Gonna test it out.

Even after he throws the bomb and it sticks to whatever it hits, you can still shoot it after its landed to do damage.

Wow good to know. I couldn't figure it out because everything was too hectic with the mobs spawning but it's gonna be a smoother fight the next time around, thanks.
