Medic Main, what is the best 2nd archetype...
...to complement a Medic Main? Right now, I am using alchemist because that is all that I have available at the moment.

I'm really enjoying Engineer/Medic. But it would probably work well with most classes.

I had a decent time with medic/alchemist. buffs all day, frenzy dust for offense

well thats probably your best one tbh.
you can also use handler as your main one to be able to get extra revives and use the support dog for an extra heal

I had a nice time pairing it with gunslinger as well, lots of ammo for everybody, the 1st ability can clear groups of trash nice and easy.

The nice thing is, Medic work with every other class, because the heal / shield / revive is useful with every combo. Maybe you just start collet the other classes and level them up until you like one of them?

Summoner works out nicely and you can get it pretty easily. Healing the summons contributes to your healing thing for the Medic's prime perk. So find a relic that you can contribute to your build.

Archon has been working especially nicely for me. Too bad I won't be using Archon for now while I grind out the levels for the other Archetypes.

Depends on what you want to do.

Summoner is decent to be a sort of beefy support build if your grouping with freinds

Alchemist also great

if your going to solo Gunslinger or Hunter can make a good mix.

summoner is great, they charge your prime trait and do lots of damage, i main medic/summoner with burden of the divine its so tanky and you have infinite heals.
