Verified game files led to save game being gone

After almost 5 hours I noticed a weird white dot in center of the screen.
Just being there, all of a sudden.
Just for ' you never know ' reasons decided to verify the game files.

Booted up the game and it started at character creation,,,LMAO.

Save game gone..

Its very odd and euh in my case it has become the weirdest thing ever...
I restarted,new save game and played for hour or so.
Did my cooking and had my dinner.
Afterward I boot up the game.
Guess what?
That lost save game was back but the new save game was gone.😵‍💫🙀🤫🧐👀

I heard that for some the game has some issues with the save game location and checks a different place. I do not remember exactly how or where but I think the proper location should be: C:\users\[your username]\saved Games\Remnant2

Like the saving system also touches a orange glowing rock to travel to a different world ?

Should I be worried that when I play the game after writing this comment my old ' lost as in not so lost ' save game will be gone and that new ' also lost but possibly hiding ' second save game will emerge from what ever wicked place ?

Before doing anything, go to the Save location of the game and copy the entire directory.

Did that and immediately noticed something.
In the remnant2 folder is a profile plus a save and 3 backups plus a steam folder which also includes a profile,save plus 3 backups.

Should I delete the ones in the remnant2 folder and keep the ones in the steam folder?

I think the ones in steam folder are correct ones,cause date modified is today.

Your save files are still there it just moved them into a sub folder as it verified the files.

If so,it should be able to load it,I guess.
In my case it never happened again and I make sure after a session I copy the whole save folder twice to different location,just to be sure.

Sounds like modding involved.

Verifying files shouldn't delete your save, so I'd maybe investigate about that. The save file should still exist, either in your folders on your computer or in the steam cloud.

Files indeed werent deleted.
In the save folder it just created a steam folder and moved those files in that map. During the verifying process.
