I'm on an msi board too and he is already under kombo 3
You have something else going on then. I have a 240mm aio cooler like you too btw, but its a corsair h100iv2. I suggest testing your cpu in a stress test program and if you are getting similar results that will tell you its not just the game. I have a feeling it is not the game.
I had a similar issue before and I changed the CPU mount for the cooler and re applied thermal paste and it resolved it for me. This was just an issue on the corsair version I had at the time though.
Just test it with cpu burn in software / stress test software and if its pegging straight to 80-81C then you know something is going on.
if your CPU tho runs over 70 you should replace your thermal paste.
if that dont solve the problem it could be your cpu cooler failing.
my own CPU sitting around 58-60 when playing this game
already done all of that, lot of ppl tell me it's just normal for this cpu, and maybe my silicon lottery is ♥♥♥♥
My gpu is all fine not above 60 it's about cpu
Get an intel =))
bump your radiator fans up to 90-100% then and wear some head phones because of the loud noise lol.
Replace your thermal paste. if not it could be the water drying out. is your pc near a window? with sun?
It's not an "issue". CPU temp is purely hardware. The more software puts on a load on the CPU the hotter it will run. If you want it to run cooler increase cooling capacity.
I agree with you, technically at 80-81C for these 5800x3d, that is the "Safety cutoff" so what it does it starts throttling the cpu down so it trys to keep it below 80C. It's not going to hurt it running at 80-81C, but what it will do is start dropping your boost clocks down and you will start to notice a performance loss in games. You can start to notice some slight stutters, etc if its at 80C constantly.
But he does have some overheating problem if it stays like that at all times.
No, your not alone. I have had a custom pc for nearly a year now and have played dozens of games without issue. I played Remnant 2 and was doing a boss battle, and all of a sudden my pc started flashing red leds due to setting them on a cpu llimit of 90c. Went to 90 and had to turn pc off. This game is deadly. It has to be the game that caused it due to bad optimization. I hope they fix it soon, but its nice to know others have the issue and thta my pc isnt faulty.
