Terrible performance on AMD.

I've reinstaled the game and I cannot even exit the main city as I got, at most, 15 FPS.

I've performed the actions requested in this post by the devs, but now it's completely unplayable...

I thought amd ran this title and all other ports better on release day.
It vastly depends on your system, you never listed your specs on your pc.


1440P native no upscale, yes settings are turned down from very high to High on everything but shadows to medium. Runs Perfect.

6900XT is high end one of world best gpu's and still you can run game only at 2k resolution on high settings with measly 80fps. That is not good performance for that card

I don't rely on fake frames or upscale to bump it up to 4K. I am running these test all on Native settings btw. If I wanted to turn on fsr or xess, could I run at a fake 4k upscale? Sure.

You have no idea what you are talking about lmfao, the Remnant 2 is capped at 82fps on purpose. Even a 4090 has issues running remnant 2 at NATIVE 1440p or 4k without dlss or frame gen. Remnant runs better if you cap it as well instead of leaving it uncapped.

Radeon RX 6900 XT
36 GB RAM

I think that this is more then enogh juice to get the game running at 1440p, but the performance of the game on my machine is like trash on fire.

Anyway I've just finished a clean instalation of the system so let's see

Copy my settings above for a baseline on Remnant 2. Check the video.

Your system is almost the same as mine spec wise besides 5800x3d I have, I just have 3400mhz ram and its running on a gen 4 m.2 ssd around 7000Mbps.

Also if you want to try with some upscale if you are still having problems, Put everything to HIGH but shadows to medium and turn on xess to Ultra quality. You will barely notice any upscale is enabled and it should run good. You could also try to set a fps cap to 82 or 120, etc if the game lets you. Idk what your monitors refresh rate is, but even if you set it to 144/165 the game will not run that high anyway.

I've reinstalled the game and now it runs less bad, but still not working at a constant 60FPS. I got small freezes. I'll make some more tests with the settings and let's see.

Note: I'm trying to run the game in medium settingts performance mode and still get stuttering.

Did you install any mods btw? If you did an installed a mod called allow assets mod that is required to run other "optimization mods" etc, that allow asset mod is known to cause random stutters / freezing on some systems. Remove any mods if you did put them back in.
