This means that on the run you'd need just to improve 2 weapons ( and get some mods ), in order to grant yourself a progression.
Best thing to do is to get the scavenger's bauble ASAP ( though it's random ), and then go for it. But I can feel the pain ( I got almost all regen/shield items and scavenger's bauble on my first run, but friends of mine with over 80 hours still didn't get it ).
Normal diff can be achieved with +2/+3 weapons, I suppose ( I cleared veteran with +5 weapons not to rush too much ).
If you want to push further it can be a pain because on the first run you'll have several stuff to buy:
- Mods
- Mutators
- Armors
- Weapons
- Weapons/Mutators Upgrades
- Relic uses
- An archetype
Reason why pushing too much towards weapon would leave you with no scraps in no time, in addition to lower the difficulty way too much.
Once you are done with your first run, go with Yaesha adventure in order to find the bauble.
Oh, above posters mentioned the amulet first.
That said upgrading your gear can actually land you in trouble due to the power rating system. I nearly soft locked myself by leveling my primary weapon up high, quickly and made the Nightweaver far too strong to fight solo or in a group.
also seems they fixed a few things cause yeah it was scrap soon after launch.
