Scrap
Why are they so stingy with scrap compared to Remnant 1?

I think that part of that reasoning is because now armors are, luckly, not tied to a progression.

This means that on the run you'd need just to improve 2 weapons ( and get some mods ), in order to grant yourself a progression.

Best thing to do is to get the scavenger's bauble ASAP ( though it's random ), and then go for it. But I can feel the pain ( I got almost all regen/shield items and scavenger's bauble on my first run, but friends of mine with over 80 hours still didn't get it ).

That doesn't track though because now you have multiclassing, which to unlock you apparently need 10 archetypes and the ones at base are all 1500 scrap from the first vendor then a further payment to Wallace, on top of having to keep upgrading my three weapons to match the area level requirements. In Remnant 1 i was getting scrap left and right from breaking furniture, in this i'm lucky to find 50 scrap from breaking everything in an entire area.

Yeah breaking stuff is luckly for us gone ( it was a waste of time to hit furnitures rather than play the game ). Archetypes are a thing, but consider that on the first run you'd probably hit lvl 10 with 2 of them ( or even just one of them ), so they won't be a real issue compared to lvling up an armor.

Normal diff can be achieved with +2/+3 weapons, I suppose ( I cleared veteran with +5 weapons not to rush too much ).

If you want to push further it can be a pain because on the first run you'll have several stuff to buy:

- Mods
- Mutators
- Armors
- Weapons
- Weapons/Mutators Upgrades
- Relic uses
- An archetype

Reason why pushing too much towards weapon would leave you with no scraps in no time, in addition to lower the difficulty way too much.

Once you are done with your first run, go with Yaesha adventure in order to find the bauble.

It wasn't an issue in 1, before the end of my first playthrough i had 2 +19 weapons 1 +9 boss weapon (scar of the jungle God) and full Radiant +19

In Yaesha you can find an amulet that boosts scrap income by 50% which is huge imo.

Oh, above posters mentioned the amulet first.

That said upgrading your gear can actually land you in trouble due to the power rating system. I nearly soft locked myself by leveling my primary weapon up high, quickly and made the Nightweaver far too strong to fight solo or in a group.

They patched the economy but is still kinda stingy. I don't know why really since it's not like you can cheese the game with upgrades eventually enemies will catch up to your level. So why be so stingy with scrap who knows. Using consumables is not viable at all for me.

Back at launch u had to pay 1000 for archetypes and 1500 to buy the material on top of that. I definitely felt the pinch then but scrap flows pretty easily later on.

Just equip a second archetype? no unlock required.

also seems they fixed a few things cause yeah it was scrap soon after launch.
