What or who is the mysterious black figure thats shaped like a human in the insane aslyum of marrows parish? Is it just supposed to be a jump scare or is it tied to something else?

He appeared once for me when heading to the room with all the patients and at first i thought i was just trippin. Then, he appeared again on the way to the basement. If you try to get close to him he dissapears. Whats the easter egg here that im missing?

no because i defeated the night weaver and the black figure still exists in the asylum

I've wondered the same thing.

I initially assumed it was the Nightweaver stalking me, but even after killing her the spectre still remains.

World-state flags are notoriously finnicky in this game. I've got an issue where Whispers' catalog isn't updating, which is locking me out of something, simply because he doesn't realise I've finished the game.

I also frequently have to reintroduce myself to NPCs at the ward.
