Dreamcatcher one chance?

When you use the dreamcatcher on certain enemies and you use the consumable to go to their dreams, and die, the consumable disappears and you return to the normal world. Is this a bug or do you really just get one chance to do the dreams?

just use the dreamcatcher on the enemy in question again and youll get another consumable.

In earth root yes, in the huntress no, for nimue you can't die there so no idea.

I got what I needed by joining other people. It took a while to explain what I meant without text or voice, but I'm sure the other players were happy with their rewards too.

Yes, you can do it multiple times on the same play through. If it doesn't let you activate the item from your quick bar, try dying, fast traveling or quitting and restarting the game.
