Modding = Cheating

I never said I didnt care. Its a fascinating subject, which is why I posted it. Why wouldnt I participate in my own discussion?

Its interesting to see peoples responses to a factual statement, and the mental gymnastics used to justify cheating, which have been entertaining to read.

Darktide is a perfect example for mods that actually improve the user experience without giving unfair benefits. That should be the same for Remnant. No idea why such a concept is hard to grasp. It is pretty self-explanatory that cheating in any multiplayer game, no matter if it is pvp or pve is super annoying. Some people actually want to play the game like it is intended and not run around one shotting everything or getting rich from every exploit. So stop ruining other guys' experience with cheats. They should be banned.

So i think we can agree. It is cheating. We just don't care if you stay single player or with friends to do it. However if you go online with others. That is not what we play with others for.

While I think its funny that some people are searching profiles looking for ammo and coming up with theories about my items, it literally doesnt change the OP lol.

I could say "Im a cheater" and nothing would change about the fact that [Modifying game files for an advantage is cheating].

That being said, I dont modify game files. I work within the bounds of the game, and I think the game is a bit too easy even on apocalypse.

Its ok if people need to download cheats to have fun with the product they bought. I hope they find a way to enjoy the game like the rest of us.
