Engineer Archtype Alien Device missing.

I found the place where you can get the Alien Device, I got the armour, but the item was not there. And yes, I mean at the second body down on the left of the ledge from the armour pickup. It was not there.
I haven't progressed in the story, have one more Seeker key to take. But I wanted to get the Engineer class first while I was in the area. But seems like I either have a bug, glitch or something is missing.

I have looked at guides, and non of them state any other requirements than to get to the second N'Erud map, find the specific stones, then jump into the fog, for the armour pieces and the alien device. Am I missing something to make it spawn?

the people who made the guides only did them to be the first and never explained enough.
It's the same case with dungeon inserts, many guides are wrong.

Only the engineer armor set is a guarated drop. The archetype item is not a guaranted drop so you will have to finish Nerud and reroll it on adventure mode to get it.
Sadly if you don't get nerud as your first planet and finish it, it's much harder to do.
You could also reroll the entire campaign but it's a bit too much.

I got the engineer class item after searching the area in 3 adventure rerolls. It seems the chance to spawn was lowered.
You can also get the item, unlock the class and then simply start a new game with the engineer archetype, you get much better guns that would take 10 hours to farm

Thanks, that explains a lot. Wish they would actually *tell* that, instead of saying they are guaranteed >.< Well time to finish N'erud and made adventures then.

Using Remnant Save Guardian shows that Engineer spawned, but it's not in the pit by the armor. Still searching to see if another pit like that spawned somewhere else on the map.

From my experience, it IS guaranteed. I have gotten it for people like 10 times so maybe it is a very rare chance that it won't spawn, but unlikely.
