And don't forget the estus flask. Er, dragon hearts.
Also the grey wall in front of boss rooms.
And also combat rolls with i-frames.
And jewelry with unique effects strewn about.
There are a lot of "inspirations" from Souls games in Remnant, quite a lot of them actually.
With that logic, MMOs are souls like. Cause when you respawn after death enemies will respawn too
Souls likes are metroidvania's. FYI.
While acknowledging the differences, no need to be intellectually dishonest and ignore the similarities.
- Bonfires
- Estus flask
- All enemies respawn on rest/travel/death
- High dmg values on all enemies, making every encounter potentially deadly
- Obscure questlines/mechanics to access content
- Transforming boss drops into weapons/accessories
At it's core Remnant is still a soulslike, and an excellent one, it mixes up the formula with a lot of fresh ideas in the genre (different types of estus, arhetypes, weapon modificators, etc).

The whole structure is similar. If you're really not seeing that then lol.
Some folks never played Bloodborne.
