I think I found a way to cheese mantagora

For those who don't want to watch it, you wait for mantagora to fly into view and shoot it to initiate the fight without entering the arena, but it appears the ads don't spawn, so it become increadibly easy.

wait there's a boss arena for manta? It's just a 'secret' field boss, the whole map is the arena

Yeh, I don't think this is a cheese. It's just much easier if you aggro it at the start where no other enemies are. So, it's still good advice.

Kind of, you’re supposed to fight it in the court yard, but you can draw it’s aggro from the checkpoint.

I didn’t take hotshot even though it was one of my favorite mods in the first game because my ADHD brain got excited by the new starter mods.

Yeah, when me and a friend got to this boss we were like... "How the hell do we hit that thing?!" Then I was like "There's a sniper rifle in town at the NPC." We upped it to +5, popped hotshot on it and burned the thing to death in seconds. Trying to fight it with assault rifles was hilariously bad.

You're new to shooters, your gameplay is great and you're using a keyboard / mouse. Definitely not an idiot. Have an award
