Are rings really the only equipment you ever find?

All of the loot I find is nothing but rings. I've gotten zero new weapons or armor and i've been playing for hours and have visited 4 different worlds. yes, i know you can craft special weapons after defeating bosses. But like other RPG's i've been expecting to be picking up armor and weapons along the way too.

It's so frustrating. I'm still using weapons I got from Brabus/Ward 13 early game. Every single item I found is a ring or amulet. No weapons, no armor. Who thought that was fun?

Most new weapons are hidden behind. Alt kills of bosses. And armors are often hidden in secret spots.. Each world has about 2 armor sets.

You'll definitely find more rings than anything, but there's a lot of weapons out there. They're just not usually straightforward, besides some boss kill rewards. Rewards for beating the game on each difficulty, alt kills, secret item turn-ins and combinations, puzzles, unique interactions... I'm curious to see the final total.

I did end up using the same 3-4 weapons for the entire game and onward, so far, though.. mostly because scrap has continued to be a problem.

Good. After Nioh 2, I was so sick of random weapon loot because it was clear that no one is going to actually make the system fun or interesting.

For scrap you can always keep rerolling Losomn that starts in the castle, the name escapes me, it's a short run down to the Jester. Watch him start to juggle and then clap for him. Get an item the first time and then a chunk of scrap every other time. It's boring to do, but if you don't mind a grind. That's an easy one.
