I mean, I already purchase this game on Steam, I dont see the point to log in Ubisoft and also I try to log in but its not working. I change my password alot of times and still I cant go into the game. What is wrong? Thanks

Ubisoft Connect and a Ubisoft Connect are required to play.

As for your login issues - may we please know more about what happens?

to start using Uplay you have to forget about Steam for awhile, download Ubisoft connect from official site, login in a normal way, i e by launching it by the desktop icon and put email and password, not when you launch game from Steam, it installs a creepy Uplay version and tries to login in background

what a load of crap. I play on steam as I trust them and this game wants be to create a uplay account. Um ok, i guess... bit then it won't even let me create an account. "you don't meet the terms of account creation" WTF

For those weird dudes who never played Settlers, Anno, Assassin's Creed or Ghost Recon it's worth to check Ubisoft status before buying. It looks like you put too much trust in Steam which nevertheless made a trap

no idea what you're going on about. I can get a full refund from steam and not give any of my info to ubisoft

This Ubisoft client sitting in the middle of Steam and the game is more annoying that Microsoft's Clippy assistant from Word. Can someone tell the meaning of "Start without addon" asked by Steam? Then the Ubisoft client tends to randomly make your saved games disappear, as if you entered a new profile (with the same name). Only after restarting Windows (like when installing a video driver under Windows XP) your saved games will reappear again.

I already purchased the Anno Collection in Ubisoft and I'll have to uninstall the game from Steam and switch to Ubisoft's Client alone to see if it behaves as expected. God help me migrate my profile and games from the Steam to the Ubisoft game installation, probably I should not even try such a miracle.

Anno 1404 and Venice addon are two different programs, different folders for keeping save, while the profile is same. Launch without addon means playing base game which has a campaign. The game itself from 2009, with adaptation was made few years ago but still has some issues of the previous version.

Thanks. I noticed that games from one game and the addon game are mutually incompatible, because I moved some saved games from the non-addon version to the addon saved games folder, and I they don't show up in the Load dialog, only the venice-saved ones are there.

Of course, it always was so and same for the maps create with editor. One thing is worth mentioning, a huge and disastrous bug when the game profile breaks without a reason and you to lose entire progress, so copying it once awhile to a different location is a must

I don't buy Ubisoft games anymore because of the login. Maybe one day they will get rid of it and I would consider buying from them again. Thanks for the post.

Bought the game recently and got into troubles already. Yesthurday I created an acount so i can play the game, no email was recieved regarding the creation. Today I tried to log into said account and recieved a message, that it wasn't verified. Created another acound and made sure, that it has been indeed verified, but now the game says there is a problem with the ownership of the game... Is there anything, that can be done? Otherwise there is no point in keeping the game.
