Multiplayer still working?

Just wanted to check before I convince my friends to buy this. Are the services still working so we can match together to play? The ubisoft page says that Anno 1404 multiplayer is no longer supported, but is it the same for this version?

apparently it is working, bought it yesterday and joined a quick match, but i experienced lag or latency, i think LAN games would be smooth

i'd say the lag is entirely on my end. i play on wireless, i'm guessing that's the issue. thanks though.

Multiplayer wont load

Such a shame. I wanted to play a new game with my brother and decided to give this a try.
Since it's an old game I see the same stuff to fix multiplayer load like port forwarding and so on.
There is no other way to play with friend online right? Or via Lan? Because the load times when creating multiplayer game is endless.

Just yesterday we played with my brother. Today we decided to continue, but when we both pressed "Multiplayer - Internet" we were in for an endless "Creating a game session".
Also, we live in different cities and we have different providers. Most likely the problem is not on our side
