How can I keep Rachel alive in the curators cut? (Spoilers)

So I've been playing the curators cut, and I got to the part in the sound room where Rachel, after being infected during the assault, sees the vision of how the vampires and parasites got to earth. After that, she ended it with a phosphorus round. My question is, how can I avoid this? I'm trying to keep everyone alive, and it didn't give me any prompt to stop it (I think I was currently Jason or Salim, I don't remember who). I went back to the assault level, but Rachel still got infected despite shooting the vampire attacking her and not missing any QTE's. Is this something I can't really stop without restarting completely or am I missing something?

There is a lot of theories about that, here read some comments .. people suggest not bringing WP with them or shooting vampire and saving her from infection rather than saving Eric

Did you let the scene play ? If so, did Rachel use the phosphorus grenade in the sound room ?
I'm asking this because during my Curator's Cut playthrough, Rachel was about to use the blade on the phosphorus grenade to kill herself but then she changed her mind (she couldn't do it by herself). I was playing Jason at this moment (I think ?), and I refused to kill her when I had the opportunity. After that Salim told us about the "fluid". We tried to put Rachel in it but sh!t happened and Eric used the UV light on her and we killed the parasite. Rachel lived.
I remember I did a lot of "heart" choices with Rachel before that event. Also, I tried to play a nice Eric toward Rachel and Nick.

I think in assault if as salim u save her and as rachel dont rescue eric, he won't die by balathu/kurume, whoever u have as ancient one. He should be able to escape and she wont be infected
