Is Unity really that bad that it can't even load a simple scene without loading 1-3 seconds every time you walk somewhere else? Or is it just bad coding? Scene transition should be instant.

I'm just stuck at the end of chapter three where I want to leave the mine with Hannah on my shoulders but can't as Graham refuses to move at all. I clicked on every possible spot at the left of the screen but he does not walk at all. Any hints what I can do anyone? Thanks....
