[Spoliers] Game crashes on Secret ending

I was able to edit one of my savefiles to get the Secret juice, and I can place it in the birch's water fine. This takes me to a loading screen, after which my game becomes unresponsive and has to close. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this intentional or an actual crash? I'm running on Windows 7 (on an admittedly old machine).

Also while I'm here does anyone have any hints for the 9th ending, or any idea of what's going on at the back of the church?

The secret ending also crashes my game. There doesn't seem to be a video of the hidden ending either. It's unfortunate, but I enjoyed the rest of the game.
