Looping Recovery
One thing I think has an issue now is being locked out of command when in Recovery. I know the game balance is about managing your flight deck, however in my last game I noticed that to turn into the wind pretty much drags a US CV TF to the N/NW. I had this happen and a bunch of flights come back, which had the game then ask me if I was disengaging because I was being slowly drawn off the map. Ships were getting back into formation after the raid. Meaning there was no going East back onto the play area.

One of my Strikes had to be set up for an Endurance payload or it wouldn't reach the enemy! Quite too far away. So eastward I was steaming until it was time to land a CAP. North the Carriers turned...into the island. Now my captains are smart fellows, they don't beach themselves (props for modeling shallow water, it was very pretty). So the Captains turned South to gain space from the island....for all of a minute, before turning back north to resume recovering the CAP. Northward towards the island they steamed...oh wait no, too close gotta steam south to gain distance from the island and now North...

I had just sunk an immobilized Zuikakau and I knew where the other was headed, but I had to quit the game since the whole carrier force was now stuck in South-North loops on the bottom of the island. If I could just halt the recovery, the whole formation would need to get back into order to obey a movement waypoint. We were right near the eastern edge of the island and freedom.

I don't know what the solution would be. Sometimes you get a rudder jammed and then your CV would resume taking in planes - but if you regain control right by an island you'd be in trouble.

Another issue with Recovery of Aircraft was my Lexington got damaged and the whole Deck Plan was wiped. Whole attack waves now were stricken from my ability to check on them. Surely my psychic captain knew his birds were coming home; he steamed north into the wind. And kept going. Only way I knew they were still on the way back was because the Captain's telepathy and many, many minutes later the sounds of engines.

Also if a whole flight is shot down the CV still seems intent on recovering them.
