Overlord 1 or II?
If you only had the chance to buy either Overlord I or II, which one would you choose? The first has a higher metacritic score, but the second one might have more things worked out.

Overlord 2 for me. Overlord 1 was good too, but Overlord 2 has slightly better music.

wasn't able to play 2 yet but I already own it... 1 had some boring parts and was a bit too linear for me

love both, but if choosing just one of them, i would go for overlord 2, just because it is a more refined game

2, the minion control feels more fluid

Defenitly 2.

I ran both of the demo's, but the first game runs like sh*t on my pc, very bad framerate. Overlord 2 however, very good framerate.

I bought it (the 2) too earlier on summer sale. Someone told me it was a freaking nice game. Cant wait to try it out! :) I'm sure you wont be disapointed!

Overlord 2, and then Overlord 1 as well because according to steam Overlord 1 is free :p

The first one. It's funnier, got a better plot and more customisation options (like armor and weapon upgrades and more cosmetic stuff for the tower) The sequel's stronger part is the soundtrack, from which I actually saved a couple of tunes (they're all in mp3 format in the game files)

1 was good. I enjoyed it. 2 has more things you can do with your minions, though....riding wolves, sailing a ship, etc.. The only thing I don't like about Overlord 2 is the cheesy way the Elves speak...like they are gay hippies or something. Overlord 1 had one character with cheesy vocals, but I was able to get over that one fairly easy. It was the huge armored boss towards the end of the game.

Overlord 1 is a good game. The storyline is pretty good, although, I would have liked to see some cinematics about the Overlord's history, and the previous Overlord before your character arrives. Would also like to have seen where your Overlord character came from. The ending cinematic is short but decent. If you are able to play the "Raising Hell" expansion, there is a new ending and a new (better) cinematic.

Overlord 2 is better, in many ways, although I haven't been able to finish the game because I'm having a problem with Steam, and getting technical support is nearly impossible. So far, it seems that Overlord 2 does a better job with your character's history, and NPC interaction. The Overlord's tower is much bigger and graphic-intensive. The minions can do more things, and not everything is done on foot like in Overlord 1. I really hope Tech Support can fix my issues so I can finish the game, because it's turning out to be really really good so far.
