I didn't know about this DLC until I read about it on the Overlord Wiki. From what I read, it seems pretty underwhelming, but I guess I'll have to experience it for myself. What I would really like is a crefting system like in the original Overlord, where you'd sacrifice minions to give the weapons armour different properties. That was sick as hell.

the battlerock arena is simler to the first games areana challenges from what i recall it throughs a bunch of the enimies at you and your minions as for what you said on the crafting system it is cool however how could they expand on it to make it even cooler is the question i am asking as for me the thing was
  1. Get Minions
  2. Reserch best combo
  3. Make Armour
  4. Be a badass

It is really a cool thing to have, I played it on the PS3 years ago and now I miss it. The Phoenix boos fight was awesome.
Providing three additional spell relics, it also allowed to upgrade all your spells.

I think the main problem with the DLC back then was that it was still an almost exclusive console feature, something you can't imagine nowadays, there was just no way to distribute it.
EA were the first that started selling it using their EA Downloader, but you couldn't buy it on Steam for example (For the longest time Raising Hell wasn't available on Steam for that very reason. Even more so, the Steam version was incompatible with the expansion that could be bought from places like Gamesplanet or Direct2Drive).
Even Ubisoft skipped all their PC DLCs back then, because uplay wasn't born yet.

It was a strange time, between old expansion packs and overly expensive DLCs on the consoles for crap like weapon skins.

In the original press release from 2009 Codemasters promised to announce details for a PC release for the DLC shortly, but of course that never happened and now it's probably too late.

Still, I always hoped that it would reappear in a new released retail version or patched in at some point.

It should deffinetly be patched in, or released at some point. As it is right now it is very unfair to PC users.

I seriously wish this was available. As I recall, not only are 3 more spell catalysts obtainable with this DLC, but 2 new weapons as well. And it's fun / a challenge winning them.

Here is the full feature list:
  • Five Arena challenges, each consisting of three rounds, with the last one being a "harvest round" to farm life force (kinda like the Dungeon mode in the original Overlord).
  • Three new Minion hats by defeating certain bosses (Satyr, Empire Champion & Phoenix)
  • Three additional spell catalysts (to reach the maximum number of 12 for all spell upgrades)
  • Two new weapon molds for the Stormbringer and the Chopper, the best weapons in the game

At one point most of this content was probably part of the release version, since some data is still in there but it was probably cut due to time constraints. Anyway, I still think the price was okay ($5) and it made the game rounder all in all.

Now that Codemasters aktivily pursues a new Overlord game maybe someone finds the DLC files patches them in.

Never knew Overlord II had a DLC, just like the first Overlord.

Yet some years have passed and it's still not on PC.

Best thing I can say, is to tweet Codemasters a petition. Get enough people to show support for it, and I'm sure they'd consider a PC port of the DLC.

lets hope someone kicks into high gear and has the dlc somewhere
