How do you break through the rock barrier at alwayslight-Island?

I don't know if this is the right name of the area, because I play the german version. (Immerlicht)

After


getting the third key there you have to break through a rock barrier. But with the elven ship (which has a big ram) you can't break through.

Perhaps I don't have max. speed? ist there a function go get max speed? The tip said "hold w" (I play with mouse /keyboard). But this doesn't seem to function.

Edit: I got the solution: hit left mouse-button repeatly.

Keep tapping the mouse btn the yellow bar is power after 4 taps its at max.
