Taking Nordberg Help

After I pushed down the statue onto the mayor where do I go I can't figure it out for the life of me

Target him and use your evil presence spell. You can release when the statue breaks and spare him or hold it and kill him. Either way you are rewarded enough to buy the town hall and truely become the Demon Lord of Nordberg

I can't seem to find help with my problem so I'm gonna ask here. I'm at the position at the town hall, but for some reason the minions won't cross the plank to the roof and push off the statue. Any ideas?

I can't even figure out how to get into Norderg.

Try sweeping all along the area. The minions arent always the smartest.

Where are you in the game?

I just cleared the troops from the area around the ballista. Nothing I try seems to get me any further or open any gates.

Look for some rail way tracks and follow them.
