Overlord 2 Crashing
Hi, I enjoyed Overlord and Raising Hell. I've had Overlord 2 for a good few years (I have an actual physical copy of the game), but I never completed it. I want to play the game and finish it, but I can only get between 5 to 15 minutes gameplay before the game freezes and crashes. I'm currently running Windows 11, I've done verification of files, fresh install, compatibility mode for Windows 7 and 8, and run as administrator.
I really want to play this game again. Please help!

No, only Overlord 2. Overlord and Overlord Raising Hell run perfectly. Overlord 2 is the only one with this issue.

have you tried testing it on a different PC?

also try this

Windows Device Manager > View > Devices per connection

Find a device called "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator" and disable it.
if it doesn't do anything then enable it again

I played it on my previous PC (before it crashed), and it played fine. I'll try and see how that goes, thanks.

I disabled the Enumerator, and it still crashed.

i think it has to do with the hardware itself, not sure
i had an issue with other games as well and it ended up being the motherboard
games wouldnt load and would instantly stop responding and would have to wait up to 10 mins for it to be fixed
but I'm not sure about this one

Nothing as yet. Still looking, but with no luck.

it works if I set the graphics settings to low. It still crashes from time to time when the loading screen appears, but it's better than nothing.

I just tried that, but no difference, still crashes randomly after a couple of minutes. Thanks anyway.
