Questions about minions and upgrades

The tutorial said to use [ ], but that doesn't do anything and my brown minions always charge ahead first no matter what... which, when they are charging into fire.. is annoying. So how do you select a specific minion type? And is there any indicator to let you know what is currently selected?


Also, I heard the old minion (forget his name) say something about upgrades.... but the brown hive and red hive areas only let me see how many minions I have had die. The girl also said something about upgrading the chambers, but there's no one to talk to in there about upgrades.

So where to you buy those?

use your scrollwheel or the number keys to choose which color minions you order around. as for the upgrades you need to go to the far end of the throne room and walk onto the floating platform next to the minion with an apron and hammer, the giant anvil will give you accces to upgrading minions types. the private chambers can be upgraded by finding the replica of the tower in one of the rooms in the chambers and interacting with that. you unlock more things as you progress.
