Aura Drop Mechanics

Alright so I'm playing co-op with my friend with their copy of the game and I was wondering if the auras that spawn are at all affected by the auras you have on you or are they completely random(outside of rarity upgrades the further in a run you go).

For instance if you have an electric related aura on you, are you more likely to find other electric auras.

I was wondering this because we have Barbeque's Echo where we can reroll auras and I was wondering if there was any downside to picking up the extra auras just to fill up slots till they can be replaced.

From what I know so far there isn't any downside to picking up auras. While you are on a run if let's say you have an electric based aura the other auras that appear are likely not related at all. At times you get the same aura which will allow you to upgrade the current aura to the second tier.

I would suggest that you recycle the aura for Quartz, especially if the aura's presented won't add value to your build
