The Indian Ocean Campaign - an East Indies Campaign DLC by the ABDA Team


Background
In the months following Pearl Harbor, the Imperial Japanese Navy conducted operations at sea, threatening British Royal Navy dominance in the area.

The most dangerous moment of the war, and the one which caused me the greatest alarm, was when the Japanese fleet was heading for Ceylon and the naval base there. The capture of Ceylon, the consequent control of the Indian Ocean, and the possibility at the same time of a German conquest of Egypt would have closed the ring and the future would have been black.

March 31, 1942, Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, her forces had overrun Hong Kong, Malaya, Singapore, the Dutch East Indies, and Burma. Now the Imperial Japanese Navy and Army were heating up for an assault on India, the jewel in the British imperial crown.

The Japanese had stunned Allied tacticians and experts with their superb aircraft, offensive spirit, and coordinated tactics, which sent Britain’s most modern battleship, HMS Prince of Wales, to the bottom of the ocean three days into the war and captured Singapore after 70 days of victorious fighting. Now they beat upon the gates of India.

Our next development focuses on the Indian Ocean Campaign, which serves as a chronological continuation of the East Indies Campaign. It uses many assets from the East Indies Mod. Following the surrender of Singapore, the fortified island of Ceylon became Britain's next line of defense in the eastern region. Consequently, the Royal Navy's East Indies Station was relocated to Colombo, establishing its headquarters at the shore base HMS Lanka. Considering these factors, we intend to utilize the East Indies Campaign as a core dependency for this project.

Bugs or Issues
It is recommended that you do the following for the best experience or for any newly released versions.
1) Delete all files in your override folder.
2) Delete the "Assembly-CSharp" file in your Managed folder.
3) Right-click on War on The Sea in the Steam library and "verify integrity of game files" found under properties.
4) Re-download Mod.
5) Install Mod again. (using JSGME or copy&paste)
6) East Indies and Indian Ocean are standalone Mods, you should not use any other Mods when playing.

I believe the T Class subs may be bugged? I have reloaded an encounter with a convoy countless times now, and each time my T class remains at 0% Solution regardless. Scope is up, and even after I manually identify target, Sol stays at 0%

V3.0 introduced Lowering of submarine torpedo accuracy by limiting the maximum solution for subs to 50%. This adjustment was made in response to the core game's exceptionally precise torpedo targeting systems.

The solution will increase if you get closer, be aware that weather conditions have a significant impact on submarine solutions.

Ah okay I see, probably the fact it was nighttime and rough out then. One last question, have you (or can you) modify AA values on allied ships, I've had terrible AA accuracy so far in my campaign, to the point where a lone Nell overflew my entire fleet at roughly 100ft and survived

trusty has a periscope bug and the stern torpedo launchers are bugged, from my experience

The intention is to include her if a suitable model becomes available, btw I am currently working on some campaign fixes/improvements so expect the next update in the near future.

Hopefully anyone here has got an idea where i'm wrong.

I'm playing the Indian Ocean Mod, and I've edited a couple of things in the files (disengage time, resource). I've only got the East Indies Campaign and the Indian Ocean mods installed thru JGSME, yet sometimes, my game freezes when entering Tactile mode to fight battles. Getting real frustrating

I've noticed an issue playing as the British, task forces will attempt to automatically go to singapore to refuel. A bit annoying when you're not paying frustration and find a task force sailing down the straight.

The AI are amazing ;)
They won't be going to a base to refuel, I wonder if one of your ships have been spotted and this TF is chasing it.

Anyone else having trouble with ♥♥♥ transports? I've sunk the same named large troop transport 3 times. Should only have 1 of 4 left, but only showing i've sunk the first one 3 times. Otherwise loving the mod, good work!

Merchants and Oilers are unlimited in WoTS, it's part of the core design, this also occurs in the vanilla campaign.

hi! there is a clear bug with aircraft, at least with the british forces (haven't played japan properly yet) with air patrols not coming back after a few weeks of patrol and having to re-do all the air deployments. This is constant and after re-doing it all, the airports the day after re-spawn the old planes and put the airports into deficit. This also effects carriers

love the mod btw and looking forward to the new updates!

i second this, aswell as the british fulmar fighters just seen extremely weak aswell as the sea hurricane. My fleet was full of good dds, warspite and formidable and imdomiable. with 35~ planes up the enemy attacked with 48, 20 fighters and 28 torpedo planes and torpedo bombers and.. my fighters lost 30 of their own and half the enemy bombers still got through and sunk my carrier. the allied fighters dont seem to do enough damage and die if they are sneezed at even lightly compared to a zero.
My ass for all it was worth shot down 7 of the planes flying right above the entire formation. At the ranges involved it just dont make sense, even if they drop they flying over the formation should only have a 5-10% survival chance especially with allied AA compared to japanese.
