Hello,

I want to share my grid maps with you. I made them primarily for myself, but I reckon I can share them with you aswell.

In the file are two different versions of the Grid:

1. x10 (10 grids on the horizontal)
   
2. x20 (20 grids on the horizontal...duh)

I personally found the x20 version too much, thats why I created the x10 version,

Installation

Simply drop the content of the archive into your
...\War on the Sea\WarOnTheSea_Data\StreamingAssets\ folder.
Overwrite if asked.(If you do get asked make sure you are dropping the override folder into the StreamingAssetsfolder, not the content of the override into your default. )

FAQ

Q: How do I uninstall this useless POS-Mod?!
A: Remove the files in your "...\override\maps\solomon" folder.

Q: My lines do flicker / Some look a bit smaller than others.
A: Yes, they tend to do that, but only when zoomed out. The whole grid is 4px "wide". I tried to do it smaller, but then they would hardly be visible when zoomed out.
If I made them any thicker they would hide too much on the map (e.g. small islands)

Q:I pasted the content of the override folder into the "default" folder. Is that bad?
A: Well, you can not uninstall the mod now anymore. If you do want to, verify game files. That should do the trick.

Q: Can I include this in my mod?
A: Its free real estate! Feel free to do so. Just mention it and thats it, no asking needed. :-)

Q: What version does this mod support?
A: It was made on 1.07d. As long as KFG(or any other mod) does not change the map they will work indefinately.

Q: Your mod broke my game. Japan invented anime too early and all my sailors want a waifu now. Also my dog ate my homework and its all your fault.
A: Sorry to hear that. Installing mods is always at your own risk. Have you tried turning it on and off again? Otherwise consult Question 2 in this FAQ on how to revert,

Exactly this and being able to create somewhat good scout routes for planes were my main reasons to create these grids.

Nice I tired the 10x and it looks good. Can't decide if I like it better with or without the grid. Will try playing it with it on for a while to see which I prefer but it does give it a more traditional map feel for sure.

I added a filter to your map to give it more aged WW2 theme. I think it also helps contrast with the icons..

That looks very nice, indeed! What filters were you using?

I used an "old map" filter from Filter Forge without grid and adusted slightly then overlayed a few different versions of this over yours with various transparency settings.
