How to change Command Points with TTE enabled?
I want more CP because I want to play around with armadas at the start of a new campaign. I did what was suggested and changed the values in the campaign setup text file, yet nothing happened. I then tried changing ship costs all to "1" and, again, it did not change in the game. I did start a new campaign each time, and no values have changed.
Can anyone here help me cheat the system better?

Oh my gosh, I got it. Okay yeah... if anyone sees this and is also curious, change values in the "override" folder of the base game after installing the mod

You can change anything you would like. Get a few bases near the Canal. edit ship costs, command points. planes at the bases or carriers.. how many planes you can use or recieve.

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\War on the Sea\WarOnTheSea_Data\StreamingAssets\override\campaign\campaign001 or campaign002\setup There, scroll right on the top row until you find "commandPoints":[250,50], Modify 250 to any amount of command points you like and you're good to go!

Question here: does the AI get then 250 command points as well? Meaning if I were to change this to 300, then the AI get's 300 as well?
If I wanted to give the player a command point boost only, is it this number I should change?
Thanks!

No, the enemy does not have the point system.. They are running on the preset plan.. Depending on your settings {easy-hard-elite] they will go until they run out of ships. {The supply ships are unlimited}
FYI...If you change the settings you have to start a new game before it will take effect..
Depending on your initial command points and the choice of how hard you have selected, the game will take command points from you. EX... you have 250 CP, and you are on elite settings it will take a % away from you so you may only have like 175 to work with.
CP is found where JJoha21 has indicated..
If you want to tweek the ship files, Override/unit/sea. You will see 2 files. DATA you will see the maxknots of your ship, and cargo [if applicable] {men,supply,engineers,fuel} in this order.. number and type of planes {Carrier and CA,BB scouts} any of these can be modified. MODEL here you will see the # of torpedo {if applicable} depth charges, ammunition for your ships.. {AP,HE,SS} in this order.. [You may notice that all some ships do not offer all of these] BUT: happy days, you can add them in to make sure that each ship has all 3 ammo choices.. DON"T PUT SOME LUDICROUS NUMBER IN HERE!!!.
EX.... The Farragut model file shows depthCharge, "totalNumberAvailable" {60}
\"Torp0\"\"Torp1"\, "numberToFire\" [4,4]
"ammunition\"; [0,225,25] {AP,HE,SS}..... ONLY ADD A 1 if you want to add all 3 types EX....
"ammunition\"; [1110,1225,125] {AP,HE,SS} larger ships have a few, so you have to change all of them. REMEMBER ONLY ADD A 1.
I hope this helps...

Not a problem.. It took me a bit of hit and miss messing with the files to figure out what would and wouldn't work. There is a bit more that you can do in the file to modify it for your game style.
