Request for random battle generator

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I would love to see a random battle generator for this game. Something where you can either pick your own ships or set general parameters but are never sure quite what you are facing. i don't think this is possible with the current custom battle generator.

I read a while back that KFG does indeed want to develop a random battle generator but it's never been mentioned since. I think with the launch bugs and the campaign fixes being top priority just now we may need to wait a while before custom or random battles get any attention.

Fair enough, I'm having a lot of fun with the game as is but that would be the icing on the cake.

I absolutely agree. I just get my wife to set up battles for me using the custom battles or if feeling particularly geeky and no one else is available I roll random numbers from my RPG dice. Sometimes you get a cracker of a battle, other times it's a bit odd but at least it's random. Only downside is you know what you are facing.

Only other thing I can think of is sending the files for the custom battles and the receiving person sticks them in the appropriate folder. Not exactly random but at least it's battles you haven't seen. Hopefully once the campaign fixes are done KFG will put some attention and love into the custom battles for us and design a generator.
