Need some help
Hey all, been playing vanilla War On The Sea for about a month now. I play on Mac on a somewhat older rig, but the game ran smooth and fine from the time I downloaded it. Didn’t even mess with the graphics settings.

About a week ago, I downloaded the TTE mod to give that a try. Immediately noticed my tactical map became very laggy with the interface, fps dropped significantly (even on lower graphics settings), and got weird artifacts on many of the planes added to the game.

So, I decided to go back to vanilla. Followed the instructions to get back to it, seemed simple. Fired it up, same lag and fps issues…(even with low settings).

I do an uninstall and reinstall…still there. I delete all the game files, and disable cloud saving. Still there…

About at my wits end. Love the game, but the tactical view/battle is nigh unplayable right now.

Anyone have a similar issue? Advice?

Have your tried to validate game files via steam?

There is something you need to delete for it to be truly gone, im not at my computer atm so i cant look it up atm. Had a similar issue so i had to Google a bit to find it back when i removed it.

The pink artifacts are a known Mac problem when using mods. The one person who had a Mac, and was good at troubleshooting this, left the community long ago.

Yeah, I kind of figured that was the case. I’d prefer a non-Mac, but you play the hand your dealt. Thanks!

I’ll give that a shot and see how it turns out. Thanks!

Hey, did you by chance ever get to take a look? I’ve googled, but come up dry thus far.
