War on the Sea

Would buy the game
As the title says, I’d buy the game, but the amount of money the developer is asking is crazy for half cooked game! They might as well call it ‘Battle of Guadalcanal with ships’

The only reason I’d buy the game at full price are the mods that hugely expand and improve the campaign. But these mods don’t get steam workshop support?

For now, I’ll keep my money where it is…
Maybe the developers can say if the game gets steam workshop support? Then I’ll happily give them my money

The developers are still developing, WotS is its money worth.
Mods get broken as far as i know with every update but one of the last updates added support for new terrain types and new geographic locations for modders to play around so maybe a update with a new campaign ist too far away.

Why isn't there a steam workshop for mods, when the mods are clearly the only thing that keeps this game alive? The game got released in October 21? Since then in three years nothing has been added to the game apart from balancing of air units, no campaign, no DLC. So, no this game is not worth its full price tag

I've gotten 500+ hours from this game without using mods.
It doesn't need workshop support to be enjoyable.

It has a campaign. I wouldn't object if another DLC campaign was added.

The mods are fairly easy to be downloaded and integrated into WoTs, it doesnt take much effort except for Installing JSGME, Installing manually also doesnt take much effort.

The game has gotten a complete overhaul with the regions, strategic bombing etc. I think this is also the reason why the kfg symbol with the year in the main menu has been updated from 2021 to 2024

This game absolutely is not worth the price they're asking for it. Its still not anywhere near finished. Mods are fine, but only dress up the fundamental problems War on the Sea has. Don't waste your time.

LOL..... Games should be judged off of hours per dollar and bye that factor this one is right their with CK2... This game is amazing value for the time your going to sink into it, as their are few games as enjoyable as this one....

Steam 'Summer Sale' seems to be the 27'th, and it's been on 50% on those every year.

nah dont buy it and dont believe ppl saying DEVs are working on it. They dont.
plus game is not fun at all anymore.
also modders gave up updating their mods too. and mods were keeping the game up.

Last update 4 months ago. So pretty good upkeep on it still as it's a few years old, and aren't most of the modders gone since they got picked up for making stuff for Sea Power?

No, pretty much all the modders are still there,

Several things are being worked on. Just take the trouble and have a look at the discord server. Suggestions have also been made to kfg

Yeah I thought about the Dot Mod guys for Cold Waters, but were a bit tired ;)
I will get this the coming week at least.. as it if nothing else looks really fun, and with mods might be really damn great even
