Rather than endlessly loop that position, the message prompts you to place a waypoint farther away so that the aircraft will be able to turn to and reach it.
Yes, thanks, that makes sense. But why is it appearing when the Dauntlesses drop their bombs, even if they are coming straight in toward the target?
It'll appear like:
14:51 6. Direct hit by bomb
14:51 6. Direct hit by bomb
14:51 6. Direct hit by bomb
14:52 Nav. Position too close to 21. Dauntless
14:52 5. Direct hit by bomb
14:52 Nav. Position too close to 21. Dauntless
14:52 5. Direct hit by bomb.
For Planes 22. 23. 24, which was originally in the same formation as 21 but are now attacking that same target independently, this Nav message doesn't appear. As far as I could tell, 21 did drop its bombs.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, to new folders on different drives. No mods.
Upon further testing, the Nav message always refers to the Dauntless that has the focus. Just so happened to be 21 as that was the last 4-plane lead ordered to attack. Among the 24 Dauntlesses, whichever one you have currently selected will get the Nav message.
Understood, but I am not setting any waypoints. It comes up when the aircraft is dropping its bombs and scoring hits on the target and only when the aircraft currently selected. What's also weird is this aircraft will then fly off in a different direction away from the group and with a navigation course set, *as if I had indeed entered in a navigation point*. Perhaps by just selecting it before it dives the game is setting some random waypoint?
I'll try include some screen shots next post.
hey your back when is new campaign going to be added and will you add steam workshop?
also could be a good idea to take modded campaigns and turn them into official campaigns

Sounds like you have a dauntless selected, it performs its bombing run and as it pulls up and moves away, the AI placed exit vector waypoint is too close and throws the message.
Will look into it.
Yes, the aircraft that it is focused on gets the message.
