War on the Sea

2 SS questions
1. Is there a way to see what depth is under the keel of my sub?

2. How can I see what the maximum safe depth is for a sub?

Thanks.

Test depth for the Japanese Type B1 and Type B2 is 100m. But they can hold together at 140-150m. I would not push it below that though.

The US Gato-class test depth is 90m. But she will hold at 130m. Did not try to push it below that.

And the Tambor-class test depth is 75m. No idea how deep the actual depth is, i have never used them. To be honest, i see no reason to ever use the Tambor-class, since the Gato are better in pretty much every way.

according to the manual, crush depth is about 1.5 times the test depth

the b1 and b2 can go as deep as 430 ft. i have not gone any deeper as i hear the hull of the sub creek really bad. they can still get you at that depth but you can go max speed without cavitating.
