"On 14 June, Fusō returned to Yokosuka and arrived back at Hashirajima on 24 June. In an effort to replace the aircraft carriers lost at the Battle of Midway, the navy made plans to convert the two Fusō-class ships to hybrid battleship-carriers, but the two Ise-class battleships were chosen instead. The ship was assigned to the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy at Etajima, Hiroshima, for use as a training ship between 15 November 1942 and 15 January 1943. Captain Keizō Komura assumed command on 5 December, and was relieved by Captain Nobumichi Tsuruoka[34][42] on 1 June the next year. Seven days later, Fusō rescued 353 survivors from Mutsu when that ship exploded at Hashirajima.[37]"

Thank you very much for your quick response, I didnt know that they have been taken out of service for some time to be reserve BB's or training Ships !. Would be a shame
yes I agree with you, but after that I hope there will be a chance of adding new ships,
because
who wouldnt love to see a salvo of 12 x 14 inch shells from Fusō or Yamashiro
The Yamato-class ships can be extremely useful if employed under the right circumstances, but are a massive investment. The Nagatos would be of greater use than the Kongos for bombardment and for engagements near the various islands in contention and while still likely outclassed by any of the modern US fast battleships, would have a better chance in a stand-up fight than the Kongos, who can only realistically defeat a US BB if they have a 2:1 (and preferably 3:1 or 4:1) advantage.
If you really want more battleships that badly, the Nagato-class would be better.
The game has more than enough problems for being serious. They should not expended even more into a game of sci-fi. 🙄
in my opinion The Fusō-Class has any right to be in the game even though I agree that the Nagato Class has more justification, and if you go by slow and sluggish plus bad AA you also have to remove Kongo Class than. whats the difference between Kongos 27.5 knots and Fusos 25. I think you are just a spoiled brat
I agree with you the game has more important issues than adding more ships, I was just wondering why such ships as Fuso and Nagato were left out. And if there is any chance of having them some time in the future. I do not think it has priority
The game may still have problems, but I think there's a good argument for the "missing" ships. The Japanese largely failed to concentrate their forces on the decisive objective and in any case were very cautious in moments where they could have been more aggressive.
Think what you want about the Yamato. Duking it out with the South Dakota and Washington at night is bound to make more sense than Operation Ten-Go, and employing the Nagatos in that campaign is better than having them sit around in Japan and wait to either explode (Mutsu) or be sunk in a nuclear weapons test (Nagato).
With the US having relatively few carriers available and Japanese carrier resources also being rather limited, this campaign is arguably the best opportunity to use battleships decisively in the whole Pacific War. That's why I'd like to see them.
But first things first...🙄
