Also I'm going to link a video that came up in the other torpedo thread because the "♥♥♥♥ O'Kane" method of firing manually can work wonders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orb3d2Fp3Og
I am assuming that you read the manual and have done the tutorial. Submarine warfare is pretty easy. This is what I have found most effective; when you enter an encounter as a submariner; from the menu make sure that the attack angle is less than 9 degrees and make sure that you achieve attack by selecting a 6 torpedo spread at 1 degree. I easily achieve a 90% success rate when I only concentrate on hitting BB, CV, CVL, CA & MS. I don't bother with DD or CL.
Active Sonar??? Your crazy.... You don't go active thats announcing your presence to the world and telling every ship EXACTLY where you are....
