Last night one of my Fletchers was hit by a Type 93 fired by a destroyer.
Torpedoes passing underneath DDs in higher sea states is intended by the developers
For shallow hulled ships they set the depth to about 2 foot. for bigger ships they set them for about 10 foot so they didnt get detected so easy as far less wake on the surface. sea state also effected the running depth they set them too.
The running depth was set to as deep as possible so when they hit a lot more water would rush into the hole at a greater pressure. usualy it was about 2 to 3 feet below the waterline on small ships deeper on the bigger ships.
But the game doesnt have that in it yet. Maybe they will ad it later if its not too complicated for players to setup lol.
