why won't the bots work in practice?

I start up a practice session in Darkest Hour and the bots just stand around inside the deployment area and never reinforce or anything..... Would be sweet if the bots would come out and play.

men if you need pratice go to the red orchestra ostfront and pratice but i recommend you go to the multiplayers sever of Dh because this bots is so idiots. i prefer play ( and train ) with real humans!

well yeah but there's hardly anyone on. I'd definitely prefer to play against real human players but when no one's on I'd like to get my ten dollars worth. The bots seem to work on Ostfront but not on the Darkest Hour mod is all. Was curious if anyone knew how to fix this little problem.

The maps probably have no bot pathing onn them and so the bots just jump around in the spawn. Try the DH_RealPanzer server all the maps there are bot pathed but even with pathing the bots are useless.

There are pretty many people in the servers that i see! maybe like 2000people are playing at once.

The bots do not work very well as the native code and scripting is just too simple. Bot tanking is especially bad.

I would love this game if I could find a good game with real people. But I'm not always on at Prime Time so it's kind of lame the AI bots can't just run around randomly even on some maps. It's a shame because I really like some of the maps on Darkest Hour.

Give our server a go, there are bots on it and the maps have all been bot pathed so bots do run about and do things, sometimes they can be quite good and others times just get caught in an endless programme loop. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/RealPanzer

bots in RO Ostfront have always behaved that way. The AI is probably the worst i've ever seen in a game. If you want to play with other people in this game, you have to play Darkest Hour mod and play on the 29th I.D. server. That's really the only populated server left in this game.

Most of the Darkest Hour maps use a teleport type spawn, which the bots can't get out of, thats most likely the reason why you can't find any enemy forces.
Try the Juno beach,Hill, and Brecourt maps, no teleports on those maps.

We know there is no bot pathing and we will not be adding any bot support for DH. We feel they are a waste of our time and if you want singleplayer action, you should look elsewhere. I recommend the Brothers In Arms series and for tanking Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942

Play on any server you want, just play as rifleman until you start to get a grasp on the basics.

Try rifle death match until you get the hang of it. Ii's low stress compared to front lines.
