Yeah. Steam auto detects Xbox 360 gamepad and it shows as default in any games properties. You don't need to set it manually.
Works in all games except for Cobra Kai.
Forgot to mention that it isn't compatible with Stadia gamepad either.
I unplugged all USB devices apart from mouse and keyboard and then started the computer. Plugged in xbox one controller, loaded the game and worked just fine.
I then closed the game and connected all my other USB devices like printer, G29 and X56 controllers, loaded the game again and the game stopped responding to any controller other than the keyboard. Simply unplugged ALL USB devices again, rebooted the PC, connect the XBOX controller and game recognised it again.
Realising this is a USB problem I just kept playing about with USB devices and drivers.
My solution was to connect all my devices to USB3 ports and only the mouse, keyboard game pads to the USB 2 ports. Now I can use any controller with the game (xbox, ps4, etc.)
Not sure if this will help anyone but just thought I'd share my solution.
