It's all default mapped wrong, you literally can't play it right now.
Same... I tried Disabling Steam Overlay like some mentioned, but I just get a black screen and nothing loads.
I just installed the latest Nvidia Drivers for my 1660 GTX (461.09), highly doubt that's the issue. Windows 10 and no issues with any other games.
I tried loading the game with my PS4 Controller plugged in and I did get a Prompt when I disconnected the Controller and it said something like "Please reconnect Controller So Player 2 can Play."
I plugged it back in and the message prompt went away but the screen went back to black, I tried jamming buttons on the controller as well as the Keyboard/Mouse and just can't shake that black screen....
Hopefully it can get figured out looks like a pretty neat game to kill some time.
Found this in another site: "For players who have been getting black screen issues, one of the reasons for this is the compatibility of the game resolution and your monitor. If you’re getting a black screen after launching the game, use the keyboard shortcut to exit the fullscreen mode by hitting the Alt + Enter combo."
https://www.gamenguides.com/articles/fix-cobra-kai-the-karate-kid-saga-continues-black-screen-and-pc-crashing-issues-67085/
But I cant make the game run in windowed mode or exit the fullscreen, pressing alt+enter doesnt work, also I cant find any file in the game directory where you can change settings
Sadly no luck, I tried running the "Cobra Kai The Karate Kid Saga Continues.exe" As Administrator and same result, also tried Compatibility Mode Windows 7. Just the black screen...
I tried the different combo of buttons, the black screen will pop me back into Windows 10 or switch windows to any other App that is open... I have a feeling it has to be something simple. I thought the game could have possibly been loading on my 2nd Display but I checked and nothing there. Maybe I will try loading the game from that display initially but that shouldn't be the case...
Oh well, game is still new hopefully the developers are aware of the issues.. game looks fun but not holding my breath. I'll keep trying...
I was able to load the game on my Windows 7 Laptop, it's a pretty old machine but it loaded the game just fine.. didn't attempt to play on that system though.
Must be something related to Windows 10 (19042.685) and/or GeForce's Nvidia Drivers... I can't think of anything else. Strange how it works perfectly on on an older Win7 machine but not my newer Win10 ugh..
Thats just weird, beacuse im trying to play the game in an old pc with windows 7 and is not working, just black screen, also the drivers in this pc are not updated...im out of ideas really
My game boots like normal, and it get's to the "press any button" title splash screen. I have a limited number of keys on my kb that will respond. J = the "A" button on a controller, K= the "B" button on the controller.
Everything else is dead. All of the other keys, the mouse, my controller. 0 response from them.
I have an nvida shield controller that is recognized as an xbox controller on all of my other games.
I've tried booting the game with the controller unplugged and it is the same result.
It seems very much like the game thinks my logitec keyboard is a controller.
And Right Click > Properties > Controller > Enable Steam Input got my controller working.
It worked, thank you very much.
Great! Glad it helped!
I tried everything in the Steam Community for the Black Screen on launch trouble, and everything I could find in web searches.
The only fix that worked was turning off VSync.
