If you use a single 2nd level electric engine with the right gear ratio, this is very much achievable relatively easily. You only need to beat bronze btw and you can get gold using a normal car.

use the 2nd elec engine b/c it has exactly 10hp and use a gear ratio of big gear to little gear. Additionally use raceing tires and lots of downforce

I used a medium engine that has exactly 10HP to power a small gear (with an unused medium gear) that connects to a (Gear shifter) medium gear, which connects to a small and on that axle it has a medium that connects to a small. The last small is connected to the rear wheel axle.

When shifting gears it then becomes a; 10HP engine powering a medium gear (with an unused small) that connects to a small, and that small connects to a medium, which then connects to a small that powers the back wheels.

I use "Big Rubber Tires" as well with the basic suspension.

Dunno if this link will work but its an image of what I have since trying to describe a transmission and all its gears is kinda hard to understand..

And with that design I can get bronze but only if I drive mostly perfectly.

this lowerd my times by 20 sec, still at 3:15 while bronze is at 2:47
i just cant drive

this one did it! i did take the liberty to change the front wheels after a race, but even before that i lowerd my PB by 20s

i noticed that the main diffrence how we build is that when i went 1:2/1:1 you went 1:2/2:1
