Tutorial car always has errors

No matter what I do the tutorial car always says "car has errors" and highlights the engine red even though it is attached. I cant even play the game because of this.

When you hit X on the build screen, what does it say the error is?

It highlights the engine red but that’s it. It doesn’t say anything else.

You're fine then. Engines are highlighted in red just so you can see where they are. Axles are similarly show in blue, gears in green.

The power graph doesn't show up and when I exit build mode it says the car has errors. So I am really confused. https://imgur.com/a/r1R4sDi

I believe you're the second person to have this specific error with this specific vehicle, so I don't think it's anything you've done wrong. Unfortunately nobody knows what the issue is.

Only thing I can think to try is tear it all down and start over. You should be able to delete everything except the last piece (you always must have at least one piece to build off of... If you're able to delete absolutely everything that could be a clue)

I was able to delete everything but the last piece. I did start over and build a new car but I’m still getting the same issue.

I've had to hit X a couple of times before it actually calculated the car, and maybe once had to go back to the main menu first, but never seen it just outright refuse to.

I found a fix. If you download a tutorial car off the workshop it works just fine. (Edit: so the car works but as soon as I edit it, it breaks again and says it has errors)

i have the exact same problem as vikinglord. any vehicle i edit says it has errors, i am able to download vehicles off the workshop though (still unable to edit them). I have tried deleting certain game files and uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no avail.
