kinda wanna see propellers
even if we're not talking about planes here, the idea of mechanical engineering makes me want to make propeller-powered vehicles. I mean there have been propeller powered cars before, so its not that adverse an idea, but hey just a thunk

Combining wings with hinge connectors you can... I've already started building an actual plane, still working on take offs right now....

You can make propellers using the hinge connectors and aerodynamic pieces, I myself did so today, but the torque even when using the most basic electric motor is so intense you need two propellers to counter each other. Thankfully you can adjust which buttons cause an engine to rotate forward or backward so you can have them rotate in opposite directions.

I've downloaded both a helicopter and plane from the workshop, the latter of which, I slapped a car chassis under and used for the long jumps... pretty much maxed them out that way!

So how did you manage that adjustment? I tried to build a plane with two propellers, but setting one motor to the reverse of the other still had both spin in the same direction. I really like this game, but my god, it sure seems to do a lot of weird stuff still.

The workshop plane had 4 engines on 4 separate props, all rotating the same direction and all actuated with the SPACE BAR. I LITERALLY (literally) built a car chassis underneath it, with its own motors, etc. I remapped the stepper motors for the pitch and roll gyros to the numpad air controls, then put my car on the WASD keys like normal... so, I accelerate up the ramp with the car, then as soon as the wheels leave the ground, I press SPACE and move my hands to operate the numpad for air controls! It took some doing, but I eventually got it to work...
