Custom Key Binding
Game looks great & looking forward to playing it.
I can't at the moment as I need a fairly strict control layout within the cursor keys and a general layout of keys in that area.

It's a physical disability and ironically Lego was introduced to me as a form of physiotherapy
which is why I'm interested in the game & why I love technical Lego so much.

Anyway, I'm sure it's on the cards as most early release games get custom Key Binding added later on.

Cheers.

I would also like the ability to reassign keys and also for controllers aswell, since at the moment there is no way to manually shift gears while using a controller.

Several others, myself included, have requested this...

I strongly suspect that it is on the devs' to-do list, though maybe not their top priority...

I was about to make the same request (custom key binding), and for a somewhat similar reason too.. except in my case, my physical disability is one paralyzed arm...

trying to play any game where I have to move my only working hand between my mouse and the far left side of my keyboard kills my shoulder in mere minutes. so as much fun as this game looks, it is literally unplayable for me in it's current state.

at least, unlike many other games in my library, I didn't have to spend money on this one to figure that out...

I usually use JoyToKey. it's fully customisable and free. There's an unobtrusive nag screen on the free version BUT if you contact them regarding a disability they send you a totally free unlock.
It's only around £5 to buy but yeah used it for years and may break it out for screwdrivers cuz I keep seeing loads of ideas I had being done on streams.

It does totally custom control mouse, joystick, keyboard to keyboard ie cursor up / down to W / S etc etc. invaluable.

Steam input can do this too, just enable it for the game and then modify the controller bindings as desired.
